Thursday

It's been quite the long minute since I last posted.

As some of you know, I created this site more than a dozen years ago while standing at one of the many crossroads we all encounter on this journey called life.

Now, after finding a moment to quiet the noise and listen to what remains, I'd like to share a new poem. If it happens to reach even one person and offer a little guidance, comfort, or peace, then it has served its purpose.

Living in Fear Based Emotions

With all the deep, prophetic and philosophical articles that I've written about awakening, enlightenment and moving forward, I get the most questions from my most popular articles about fear. I find this very interesting, that with all the information out there about ways to connect to that state I call "Being Love," people continue to live in what some call lower fear-based emotions.

If you've not heard this before EMOTIONS are "energy in motion," each having a frequency, a vibration. Like the difference between a baritone and a soprano, there's a noticeable difference in the vibration and frequency when we feel happy versus when we feel sad; when we feel peaceful versus when we feel mad.

Fear will always keep you from realizing your potential and connecting to the higher light-ness that's within all of us. You've heard of the term, lighten-up, right? Well when you lighten-up, you physically feel that release.

That's why we feel amazing when we stay for an extended period of time in joy, peace, compassion and charity. These frequencies are so delicious that they tickle our hearts. When we stay in that higher vibration, those wonderful positive emotions, something inside us changes. Some of the side effects are positive as well; you begin to feel better, look younger and attract the most amazing positive things in your life. l
vibration  Vibrate Love
Each emotion has a corresponding vibration, with UNCONDITIONAL LOVE having the highest vibration of all. Let me take a step back and tell you a little bit about the frequency of emotions so you understand how we vibrate who we are each moment.

David Hawkins believed that there's a corresponding numeric vibrational value associated with each emotion. I like his theory, but I simplify things for people, dividing the emotions into just 2 categories: high vibrational positive emotions and lower vibrational fear-based emotions. Here's a list that I've listed for you below

High Vibrating Emotions

High Vibrations

Being Love

Unconditional Love
Joy/Elation/Happiness
Compassion/Empathy/Charity/Gratitude

Low Vibrations

Fear Based Emotions

Fear/Terror/Anger/Rage//Guilt/Shame
Annoyance/Irritation/Judgement
Hatred/Contempt/Disgust
Jealous/Greed/Envy/Courage
Control/Ego/Insecurity/Obsession
Stress/Shock/Overreaction
Worry/Anxiety/Embarrassment
Helplessness/Powerlessness/Doubt
Depression/Despair/Disappointment

When in a state of Being Love you're filled with joy, happiness and gratitude. You only have compassion and empathy for those who are not. You unconditionally love all situations no matter what you perceive the outcome will be because you know that each experience is a gift and you approach what seems as being a potential unpleasant situation with the expectation that something more amazing is about to happen.

The simple rule of thumb related to vibrations is this:

When you're in that Love vibration what I call a state of BEING LOVE, you feel warm and fuzzy inside.  When you are in a Fear vibration, you don’t feel very good, do you?

I know that it sounds simple, but it really is that simple and staying there is where practice makes perfect. Many a scholar has said that when we stay in the highest vibration, love, we're headed toward enlightenment, like Buddha and Jesus. Pretty good company to be in, don't you think?

We're all works in progress, so don't beat yourself up for a momentarily slide into a lower vibration. That's part of self love. You have to love the person you are right now as you gain more insight and move forward. And if you want to hope of ever achieving unconditional love you first need to learn how to love yourself. When you do, then you can transmute everything into love and you're no longer living in the misery of the mind, that place where all the lower vibrations dwell.

Think about this: If you could stay more in that love vibration, what a delicious world indeed, heaven on earth, nirvana; what a pleasure it would be waking each morning, singing as you greet each person on the street, smiling and touching their hearts, offering your assistance from a place of true compassion and unconditional love.

So, take notice of your state of emotion and try to turn that frown upside down, that tight lip into a smile and share your love with your fellow man.

Integrity is not...

Integrity is defined as having good honor, being honest and having a strong sense of what is right and wrong. today's article goes a little deeper into describing what integrity is not.

Integrity is not....
  • Lying about your past experiences and expertise to make yourself look better in their eyes.
  • Manipulating people by telling them what you think that they want to hear or feeding their egos to get something you want.
  • Praying on people's weaknesses to meet your own need of superiority
  • Creating drama by pitting people against each other as your smoke screen.
  • Withholding key information until you've won someone over by fueling their desires.
  • Making promises you have no intention of keeping and waiting until they've signed on the bottom line before revealing the fine print.
  • Deflecting and discrediting others by shouting from the highest mountain that the offenses that you are guilty of are the offenses of those innocent parties caught in your crossfire.

I often get asked what is a gaslighter, so the above is the definition of a gaslighter.
Being honest is a direct line to being love.

About Feeling Lonely

About Feeling Lonely
Perhaps you're coming across this article right now in a state of loneliness. If you are you're not "alone" in this feeling. About 99.99% of us at some point in our lives have felt lonely. Let me clarify this statement by saying that just because you're alone, it does not mean that you're lonely. I want you to be aware of the difference because to some people it's not obvious.

Before her passing my mother and I chatted about the years I have been single and she asked how I could live such a lonely existence. Mom just didn't understand being alone as a choice. I took her hand and smiled, telling her that when you're comfortable with who your are then you're not lonely when there's no one else around and that I relished time spent alone in contemplation.   I further explained that I would prefer to be alone and happy then in a relationship like so many of my clients who were lost and lonely sleeping 6 inches away from someone else.  I think she understood.

If you are feeling lonely today, whether the feeling is fleeting or lasts for a very long time, once you realize that it's a lower based emotion and vibration, similar in residence to despair you're at the first steps towards its elimination. You see it's ALWAYS your choice if you want to stay in this emotion. It does not define you as a person.  Remember the only you complete yourself and when you are complete you realize that none of us is truly ever alone. (more on this topic later)

The next time you are feeling lonely, try one and tell me how that made you feel:  Singing, cleaning up your space, writing, taking a walk or volunteering.

Wishing you a delicious day,

Friday

About Strength

When I think my life is tough, I think about what others go through. I have friends and family who go through life shortening illnesses like Cancer or others who have experienced the loss of loved ones, some to unexpected tragedies, leaving behind young children.

Yes, when I think about what others have survived, I question why I am complaining.

We all experience challenges and loss, but know that every one we surmount strengthens us as we move forward.

Noticing Your Reaction Time

If I had a nickel for every time I reacted, or let's be honest "over-reacted" to a situation or what someone said or did, I would be able to retire comfortably in an estate on the beach.

As I get a little older and a little bit wiser, I'm reminded over and over again that the only thing that we have control over is our reaction to the people and situations that we encounter. And when we can identify the situation before reacting is when we can transmute it to a vibration that more closely aligns to our true loving nature.

LAUGHING IN THE FACE OF CANCER - One Woman's Fight

Today I reach out to you with a story of hope and prayer.

Named after archangel Michael, my long time friend of over 30 years is strong, a fighter, with a heart full of love, an offbeat sense of humor and an amazing outlook on life.

Michaele’s life has not been easy. When we were teens, she was hit by a car and battled to regain the ability to walk.

She was first diagnosed with cancer (melanoma) a little over 5 years ago, within months of the passing of the father of her 3 children.

Unfortunately, we found out a couple of weeks ago that the cancer has returned, metastasizing as tumors in her brain and lungs.

Office Stress - Coping

At a certain time each day, the frenzy begins as people are running around like chickens with no heads, not to holiday shop, but to complete tasks on a deadline.

6 people all reaching out to the same person for the same deliverable, upset because it was not turned around in an hour. It's this frantic energy that can be felt across the room or through the phone or computer chat window.

Let's take a moment to put things into perspective: NO ONE IS DYING HERE

This is not an emergency room, open heart surgery or  woman in labor. We're not rushing across the street to save someone from being hit by a car, nor are we trying to cure cancer. And there is certainly not a roaring house or forest fire.   It's someone in a corporate office with an imposed deadline. It's no wonder why our :flight" and "fight" response is out of whack when something as minor as a normal deadline has people jumping out of their skin.

For those on the receiving end, take a breath before turning to these folks and show them compassion. They obviously have no clue what is really important. Don't allow them to ruffle your feathers.

My advice to those allowing the stress get to them and beating down on others, take a moment and allow others the space and a little time to do their job.

Wishing you a stress free day

Don’t be afraid of change,

I was born on the 16th of the month. For those of you who are into the meaning of numbers and signs, it is the tower card, that some consider chaos or continual change. When I found this out it explained a lot about the way I have live my life and embrace change, looking forward to the next thing with excitement instead of fear. Not staying in one place for very long has also been part of my makeup, so I have always found projects that have an end date that I can see and touch attractive.

When I took a moment to take an accounting of how many places I have stayed for a month or more in the last year and came up with over a half dozen, even I scratched my head in amazement. The only thing that makes sense of it all is the fact that the “powers that be” want me to be very accustomed to change.

Many of you can not relate to my free and easy lifestyle, but at this point, I know no other way to explore the grand vastness of this world. Although I still enjoy all the comforts of life, I hold on to very little material things and accept each person I meet as a new potential friend that may only be in my life for a short while.

With the new energies coming in, you too may be faced with great changes in your life, the place that you live, your work, family and friends as you’re asked to stretch your wings and prepare to fly. Don’t be afraid of the change that is coming, knowing that there is always a path in front of you that has been laid out for your best interest.

Don’t be afraid of change, but embrace it as an opportunity to take the cards that you have and create something even more spectacular.

Wishing you a beautiful day,

You Control Your Reaction

So it seems that the Mercury Retrograde is in full swing, with miscommunication, electronic glitches and delays. For those of you who are seeming to put your foot in your mouth, taking a few moments to think before speak and avoid those embarrassing moments.  If your computer is being testy, or if you’re on a project trying to deliver a system upgrade, take a breathe and breath out that frustration, knowing that it’s not you. Lastly for those of you traveling, take the expected delays in stride, since they are certainly out of your control. As for me, well, I got the triple crown with issues with all the above this 2014 October Mercury Retrograde.

A perfect example as I arrived at my departure gate to catch a late flight for an early meeting the following morning, I discovered that the first leg of my trip was delayed. ‘I can still make the connection, I thought to myself,’ as I made my way to the counter to get a latte.  After about 2 hours, we started the boarding process. It was then that I received word that my connecting flight had been cancelled due to severe weather. I breathed in deeply then exhaled; the air slowly leaving my body through my nostrils, as the stress exited by body. I took a moment and came up with plan B and alternatives to manage expectations with the folks that would be waiting on me early the next morning.

‘Thank goodness it wasn’t an interview with Good Morning America,’ I chuckled, not wanting to keep Matt Lauer waiting.

The gate crew was fabulous and apologized. I smiled telling them that it was not your fault as I mused,"Unless you;re controlling the weather."

Why was I so calm?

Well, my dears, there was a time, not too long ago, I might add, when I would have reacted much differently. Yes, I was inconvenienced, but I quickly put the situation into perspective. It was just an unpleasant situation. But no one was injured or died. So often I see people acting poorly when they experience minor inconveniences, like having to wait in line for more than 3 minutes for their morning triple venti caramel macchiato.

Is it our fault that we overreact?

In today's society it's considered normal now to rush through life without taking time to breathe. This all began with the computer technology explosion that began in the 80s and 90s. What used to take days to calculate or find, we now can gather using technology in seconds. The pace filtered into the corporate segment as we're pushed to our limit at work to deliver more and more in shorter timeframes. It moved into our personal lives as our patience has become almost non existent, getting agitated when the clerk spends a few extra seconds conversing with the customer in front of us.  And we filter that to our children.

What has this change of pace gotten us?
A live filled with stress that's not really living. That leads to a few things including serious physcial and mental illness. Did you know that the scientific community has labeled stress the number one cause of disease.

I think that as a society we have all gotten spoiled and have forgotten what is really important. The world may be your oyster, but remember that the sun does not revolve around the Earth and the world does not revolve around you. So, stop taking it out on everyone else by stressing the small stuff.

The ONLY thing you CAN control is YOUR reaction. So, let it be one of peace and patience as you break the pattern of the person who has no time to stop and smell the roses. Remember this and you'll life more stress free.

Sending you peace and love this day and always,

LeeZa Donatella

Have a day filled with love,

Decisions and Bumpy Roads

We're all presented with situations where we need to make decisions. On a small scale it happens each morning as we decide what to wear or when we order our designer coffee's. On a larger scale it happens as we made who to marry, where to live or what job to take.

At times in our lives, the decisions we make, may take us down a different road and we have all had moments in life where we have looked back in hindsight and thought, "Gee, if I had not made that decision I would ot be where I am today?"

They say that hindsight is 20/20, but every experience does shape us into the person we are today.

And when faced with larger decisions, some of you were not sure which direction to take and second guessed yourself. Others probably weighed the pros and cons before making your decision. Lastly a few, the may be labeled mavericks or even perhaps crazy, basically flipped a coin or went with the choice that offered the more interesting alternative as they jumped right into the deep end of the pool.

Some of my most memorable experiences and life lessons happened when the decisions I made had me jumping into the deep end of the pool. In the end, it was as if I took some sort of short cut, although at the time it seemed like I had gone through hell and back.

So, is anyone way of deciding which road to take better than the other?

Who am I to tell you how you need to proceed with your life. I can, however, tell you this: "All roads do lead to the same destination. It's just that some are bumpier than others."

Have a day filled with love,

Each Day is a New Beginning

I may be beating a dead horse here but I cannot emphasize enough about not dwelling in the past. The past is just that gone. Look to each sunrise as a new opportunity to move forward. If you do, you'll never live with regret and look upon everything as new.

Blessings and love to you this day,

How to Reduce Stress in 5 Minutes

I encounter a lot of people who deal with stress, I can relate to them, spending many years immersed in corporate projects with tight deadlines. Although meditation is always a great exercise for relieving stress and quieting the mind, many people find difficulty getting there. The picture I posted today shows something I discovered back in the 1990's regarding ways to "shake off the stress."

By finding a space with a little room, take a few minutes to swing your arms freely from side to side.

No, guys this is not a regimented exercise, and not a competition. How would you have swung your arms if you were a child; carefree, not rigid and not stiff.  Be free, flow, close your eyes and don't try to control the movement.

Ah, I can sense that some of you out there are still not flowing. Sweetie, you are not "Edward Scissor-hands," so loosen up your hands too and like the song says "Throw your hands up in the air. And wave them like you just don't care."

Now you are getting it!

Breathe slowly in and out, smile, laugh and you'll start to feel great and your stress will begin to melt away.

Let It Go Already

Oh,  if I had a nickel for every thought I used to hold onto, I would not have to work for a living. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm talking about myself.  If you would have met me in my hay day of climbing up the corporate ladder, well,  I was nothing like I am today.

Today I breathe more deeply, especially on the occasions where I assist corporate in their endeavours.

And with compassion I look on the people who have tried to hurt me in the past, even the sociopaths. Why?  Because they're infants to this world of Earth lives as they continue to live in the misery of their mind. They just don't know any better. Dealing with these newbies is like dealing with a young child.  Would I treat kindergartners with animosity because they don't understand String theory? Of course not. And that's what these people are, kindergartners.

I don't hold a grudge;  I have no anger, nothing negative or lower vibrational,  even toward those who have blatantly stolen from me. I don't wish them revenge or to reap the bad karma they've earned.  I forgive, especially myself for being duped so I can release and move forward.  It is only by forgiveness and wishing these people peace in this lifetime that we releasing lower vibrational emotions and grow.

Take on this philosophy, and you'll feel the freedom. And boy, does it feel great!

Wishing you a day filled with peace,
