You're Not Responsible for the Actions of Others

I am at a point in my life that I look at each experience as a gift. I know that this may sounds a little odd, but once I realized that the people I interact with are mere mirrors reflecting back what I am focused on and what I need to work on and the only thing in life that I have control over are my thoughts and reaction(emotions) it put everything into perspective.  So is my theory and philosophy.

I also know that if someone treats me with less then love in some way, then it's on them, because I am not accountable or responsible for the actions of others.  I believe that as I work on being that "being of love" that I am, then I shine.  How someone feels about me is not my business, not my concern.

I know that the Universe puts people in our path for a reason; perhaps it's to find common connections, perhaps to find a new friend, but most certainly to learn and grow from each other.

Cherish the time you spend with others with a laugh and a smile.

Valentine's Day 2020

Happy Valentine’s Day! If you find yourself today with a special someone rejoice in that love. Be the best partner that you can be. It's not about quantity, but about the quality time you spend with each other sharing that love. If you are alone, share your love with each person you meet through a heart-felt smile and good wishes of joy for them.

Above all, love the most important person in your life, you. It is that love that transcends time and space in all your lifetimes. It is that love that you take with you. Unlike flowers that wither and die, your inner love continues to grow.

Blessings and love this day and every day from me to you,

Knowing When to Help

It is a delicate balance knowing when to help and when to stand back and allow the other person to handle the situation.

Helping Others
When faced with a decision when a friend thought they had a leak under their home, I did my best to check the places where water would be visible, but when the landlord came by, I gracefully exited, not wanting to make a bad situation any worse by sticking my nose in.

Helping Your Children
The same can be said when assisting a child in their challenges. You want to protect them, but if you live their life for them, you do them an injustice that they will pay for as adults navigating the world with little experience on handling the situations that arise.

The Perpetual Victims
There are people in this world that I call the perpetual victims. They play on the kindness of others. I remember Stacy, who I met when I first moved to AZ. She was having issues with a boyfriend. I ended up driving her to get a restraining order, then rented a truck and helped her move all her stuff into a storage unit.  Yes, it was a kind deed, but i\I soon discovered a  pattern with every subsequent man she dated, work situation and well, most every experience that all started out just fine, but soon blew up into some large drama.  There can be a fine line between being a good friend versus an enabler.

So you see that you have to know when to help. Just use this rule of thumb.

  • Offer but don't be insistent. And don't react if someone says no to your offer of assistance
  • Learn when to walk away and let the experts or those accountable to step in
  • Allow people to make their own mistakes and learn how to clean up their own messes.

Small Acts of Kindness

I'm always grateful when I receive correspondence that what I've written has touched someone.  I don't write for accolades or praise, I do it because I care. I also get a feeling, a deliciousness that tickles my heart when I know that it helps someone.

When you give of yourself without expectation of reward, the Universe actually does rewards in more ways that you can imagine. I believe that there's a balance in all things as part of Universal Law.  When giving from your heart, your return is an overflow of inner love.

What you give does not have to be a grand gesture. It can be as simple as a "Good Morning" and a smile to a stranger you meet about your day. To you, it may meaning nothing, but to them, well, it could mean the world. You don't know what sort of troubles and tribulations others face. Perhaps that friendly greeting was just what they needed at that moment to remind them that God is listening. You just never know.

For me, I write these articles as part of that "pay it forward" philosophy. I am also always the first one to say hello to my fellow humans in stores, on the sidewalk and while waiting in line. My mind no longer consumed with worry, I have plenty of time for greetings, empathy and compassion.

Why are so many other people are not doing the same? The answer is simple. Most people today are self absorbed in their own two-by-two existence. They are consumed with replaying situations and worrying about this and that. They do not recognize that the key to happiness and love is to release the things that are out of our control. One way to unburden your mind is to share your heart with everyone you meet.  It all starts with a smile and a nice greeting!

It's when we touch someone who has been, out of touch, that we provide them the opportunity to reopen that door to their heart.

You have the ability to lift the broken hearted and help heal the wounded with 1 kind word, 1 kind act or gesture, so do that today.

Living in Fear Based Emotions

With all the deep, prophetic and philosophical articles that I've written about awakening, enlightenment and moving forward, I get the most questions from my most popular articles about fear. I find this very interesting, that with all the information out there about ways to connect to that state I call "Being Love," people continue to live in what some call lower fear-based emotions.

If you've not heard this before EMOTIONS are "energy in motion," each having a frequency, a vibration. Like the difference between a baritone and a soprano, there's a noticeable difference in the vibration and frequency when we feel happy versus when we feel sad; when we feel peaceful versus when we feel mad.

Fear will always keep you from realizing your potential and connecting to the higher light-ness that's within all of us. You've heard of the term, lighten-up, right? Well when you lighten-up, you physically feel that release.

That's why we feel amazing when we stay for an extended period of time in joy, peace, compassion and charity. These frequencies are so delicious that they tickle our hearts. When we stay in that higher vibration, those wonderful positive emotions, something inside us changes. Some of the side effects are positive as well; you begin to feel better, look younger and attract the most amazing positive things in your life. l
vibration  Vibrate Love
Each emotion has a corresponding vibration, with UNCONDITIONAL LOVE having the highest vibration of all. Let me take a step back and tell you a little bit about the frequency of emotions so you understand how we vibrate who we are each moment.

David Hawkins believed that there's a corresponding numeric vibrational value associated with each emotion. I like his theory, but I simplify things for people, dividing the emotions into just 2 categories: high vibrational positive emotions and lower vibrational fear-based emotions. Here's a list that I've listed for you below

High Vibrating Emotions

High Vibrations

Being Love

Unconditional Love
Joy/Elation/Happiness
Compassion/Empathy/Charity/Gratitude

Low Vibrations

Fear Based Emotions

Fear/Terror/Anger/Rage//Guilt/Shame
Annoyance/Irritation/Judgement
Hatred/Contempt/Disgust
Jealous/Greed/Envy/Courage
Control/Ego/Insecurity/Obsession
Stress/Shock/Overreaction
Worry/Anxiety/Embarrassment
Helplessness/Powerlessness/Doubt
Depression/Despair/Disappointment

When in a state of Being Love you're filled with joy, happiness and gratitude. You only have compassion and empathy for those who are not. You unconditionally love all situations no matter what you perceive the outcome will be because you know that each experience is a gift and you approach what seems as being a potential unpleasant situation with the expectation that something more amazing is about to happen.

The simple rule of thumb related to vibrations is this:

When you're in that Love vibration what I call a state of BEING LOVE, you feel warm and fuzzy inside.  When you are in a Fear vibration, you don’t feel very good, do you?

I know that it sounds simple, but it really is that simple and staying there is where practice makes perfect. Many a scholar has said that when we stay in the highest vibration, love, we're headed toward enlightenment, like Buddha and Jesus. Pretty good company to be in, don't you think?

We're all works in progress, so don't beat yourself up for a momentarily slide into a lower vibration. That's part of self love. You have to love the person you are right now as you gain more insight and move forward. And if you want to hope of ever achieving unconditional love you first need to learn how to love yourself. When you do, then you can transmute everything into love and you're no longer living in the misery of the mind, that place where all the lower vibrations dwell.

Think about this: If you could stay more in that love vibration, what a delicious world indeed, heaven on earth, nirvana; what a pleasure it would be waking each morning, singing as you greet each person on the street, smiling and touching their hearts, offering your assistance from a place of true compassion and unconditional love.

So, take notice of your state of emotion and try to turn that frown upside down, that tight lip into a smile and share your love with your fellow man.

The Search for Love

I've traveled to many towns and cities in many countries over the decades, sometimes finding myself in small villages in 3rd world countries as I trekked in the Amazon, Machu Picchu and to temples in China.  I observe people when I travel and write from those new and interesting interactions that become part of my experiences.

It may be adventures that fill your bucket list, amazing tastes with friends, times with family or pristine sunsets that tickle your heart. What's that all about?

Every experience fulfills a search for something and that something is love.

At some point in our lives most of us discover what love isn't. Love cannot be gained through the many adventures that you take, dinners shared or gifts purchased. Love is not something that you obtain through action, deed or gesture for others. Sure it may feel good for the moment, but the reality is that you'll never find love outside yourself until you discover love from within yourself.

In order to find true love you have to first love yourself!

If you don't love yourself, then you're bound to search endlessly for love and come up empty-handed. What a disappointment!  At times we're presented with the opportunities for those personal growth spurts that lead us closer to that unconditional love affair of self like:
  • When you've tried our best, but you may not have presented yourself in your best light. It's when you don't beat yourself up for your own imperfection that you're a step closer to unconditional self-love.
  • When doors close, pushing you in a different direction than you originally planned. When you know that God always has your back and perhaps he's saving you from something by closing those doors, then again, you're a step closer to unconditional self-love.
  • When people spread vicious rumors or lies about you to others to hide or distract from their own shortcomings. You don't have to look past twitter in this country today to find high profile accounts with 65 million followers spewing hate, lies and rumors to misdirect or blame others for their own crimes. When you forgive and have compassion for those people who have persecuted you, that you're closer to unconditional self-love.
Although at times loving yourself isn't easy, once you realize that every experience is a gift to help move you toward unconditional self-love, then you're already halfway there.  It may be for an hour or a day at a time, but that's okay. Now here's the exciting part. When you discover that true love from within, everything changes. but when we achieve that unconditional love of self, we move forward., glowing as we walk down the street, exuding an intoxicating fragrance that infiltrates the nostrils of every passerby, as our smile sends goose bumps to those we glance at.

It's when you love yourself that all avenues of open up to you as you find your dream job, comfortable home.  It’s like having a million dollar shopping spree at the Mall shopping at Tiffany’s, Norstrom’s and Neiman Marcus combined. Can you say Louboutin?

And when the timing is right meet you very own Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt or George Clooney and replay a romantic scene from the Notebook. Okay, so perhaps that last one is a personal fantasy, but you get the picture.

So if you're searching the internet for the definition of love or some quick fix 10 step program and stumbled across this particular article, well darling,  I think it means that you still need to do a little work in the self-love area.

Wishing you a delicious love of self,

God Has Your Back

We try our best to assist those in need; family, friend and stranger alike when people in our sphere go through a difficult time.

Depending on the situation of those we assist, things can get out of control as we get sucked into one or more of the interested parties drama. This chaos can be exponentially amplified depending on their stress level of the life crisis.  I have first hand experience running from helping one person to another and in doing so, getting sucked in their overwhelming drama.

I have also been smeared with corrupt intent by those whom I have assisted and have dealt with various levels of gaslighting narcissists who have taken advantage of my kindness and generosity.

There are times when you have to step away from a situation, person or group. Whether that door closes by your own hand as you walk away, or by an unknown force,  I can tell you that no matter what, God always has your back and your best interest at heart.   I think the above saying from the Joel Osteen ministries says it all.

If you take nothing away from this article know that it's all about your intention. If you intention is to help someone, then you are in a good place. Yes, it's disheartening dealing with people who continually have their hand out, interested in what they can get, those that you help who do not appreciate your time, energy or money, condemning you after you help them.  Just know, that karma is on them.  You are not here to solve everyone's problems. That is their homework. You are not obligated to stay in situations or associate with people who treat you poorly. You are allowed to walk away, even if it's your brother.

In speaking to a friend, she lost someone close to her as a door closed. When I asked here how she felt, she paused and said, "I feel relieved that I am finally outside all that drama that I allowed that person to create in my life." I've been in similar situations myself and the words calm and relief ring true when it came to removing myself from the influence of those still living in the drama and nonsense.

Go with peace in your heart and mind.
