Not many authors will direct you to others spiritual books, but I guess I'm not like other authors. I believe that we have but a moment to impact others and I wanted to share some of the books that I enjoyed as I was in the midst of my discovery.    Wishing you a day filled with love.

The 5 R's of Mercury Retrograde 2019

As Mercury Retrograde is in full swing now, I wanted to take a moment to speak to you all about the ramifications of this time for all of us. 

What is Mercury Retrograde?:

This happens three to four times per year, when due to an optical illusion, the planet Mercury appears to move backward in the sky. Some call this movement a retrograde, ergo the term, Mercury Retrograde.  

There are a plethora of things that you're asked not to do during this time, like sign contracts, get surgery, make major decisions or buy electronics because Mercury is the planet that rules communication. Most who know about this time period know that it is a time of delays, miscommunications and misunderstandings.

What most forget is this is a time filled with what I call the 5 “R’s.”

It is a time to “return” or “revisit” situations and issues from our past. It's a time to "reflect" on where you are now and how far we've come. Why? So we can “resolve”  and “release” what no longer resonates with our true selves. 

Just becoming aware of this will help you be present and not over-react to some of the inconveniences during this timeframe. Take this time to slow your life down a bit, just like the illusion of Mercury and stop the bullets before they reach you. That IS the intention of this time period, so don't allow it to make cracks in your very fiber.

In 2019, Mercury will be in retrograde three times, during the date ranges of:

• March 5 to 28.
• July 7 to August 2.
• October 31 to November 20.

Integrity is defined as having good honor, being honest and having a strong sense of what is right and wrong. today's article goes a little deeper into describing what integrity is not.  

Integrity is not....

• Lying about your past experiences and expertise to make yourself look better in their eyes.
• Manipulating people by telling them what you think that they want to hear or feeding their egos to get something you want.
• Praying on people's weaknesses to meet your own need of superiority
• Creating drama by pitting people against each other as your smoke screen.
• Withholding key information until you've won someone over by fueling their desires.
• Making promises you have no intention of keeping and waiting until they've signed on the bottom line before revealing the fine print.
• Deflecting and discrediting others by shouting from the highest mountain that the offenses that you are guilty of are the offenses of those innocent parties caught in your crossfire.

I often get asked what is a gaslighter, so the above is the definition of a gaslighter. 
Being honest is a direct line to being love.

Some people believe that all setbacks are catastrophic. Me, not so much, knowing that each experience is a gift that does one of three things:

1. Validates how delicious life is.
2. Shows us where our homework is.
3. Helps us realize how strong we are.

Words can Hurt or Heal

Our reaction to what we say or the words that are spoken to us can have such power over us if we let them. That’s because negative words can hurt, biting into the very fabric of who we are. Positive words have the power to heal, feed the soul and uplift the recipient.

It is these words that alter existence and change the framework of our lives. I remember a situation many years ago when my girlfriend Eileen and I ventured off into Manhattan and were sitting in a small cafe having an espresso. I could overhear the conversation at another table where an agent was telling a young filmmaker that he should "throw in the towel." The agent’s words were harsh and the recipient looked miserable. When the agent left, I excused myself, went over and whispered a few words into the filmmaker’s ear, then returned to my table. words have the power to heal.

Forgive Those Who Victimize You

I believe that people who are miserable lash out at the world. It is related to ones energy and that energy is tied to one's emotional state. I also believe that all this has a direct correlation on the Mind, the Body and Spirit and what we attract into our lives.

As those of you who know me personally, it was a difficult time for me in late 2012 with an illness and the many life changes including divorce that I had that year that had me move to Sedona, AZ to connect and repair.  What you may not know is that during that vulnerable time in my life, I fell victim to a financial con from one of it's locals over a 3-month period. What I saw was someone who was down on their luck and offered them food, shelter and money to help him get back on his feet and move forward. After realizing that it was all a con, I finally stopped the financial bleeding. It was a costly financial and emotional lesson and although it was a period for me of great pain, it was also one of the most transformational in my life. You see, if this person had not played such a great role as the abuser, I would not have realized how strong I really was!
