What to do when you’re Stressed Out

Have you ever felt stressed out? Of course you have; we all have during periods in our life centered on change.

Let’s take moving as an example. Whether the move is a temporary vacation, a few months somewhere  for work or moving after 25 years in the same house, moving causes stress. You could be the best meditator in the world and still feel the stress up an upcoming move.

So what do you do? First take at least 5 minutes to purposefully and slowly breathe, then take just 30 minutes to an hour right then, if you can, to organize your items. You don't have to finish organizing all your items, packing every box etc., but just by taking a few moments to take some action toward achieving the goal will provide you with the stress relief your body, mind and soul needs.

It’s as simple as that.

Let’s try another example. You job is okay, your boss has been hard on your lately, and there have been a ton of layoffs and you think you may be next to get the axe. Again take a breath and regroup, finding your resume and updating it. Even if you never post it on the job boards at least you know you have it ready to go, if that unfortunate event happens. Better yet, take a look on the job boards and see what’s out there. You may just decide to post it after all.

The above are good examples that apply to EVERY stressful situation. Taking time first to diliberately and deeply breathe then taking forward moving positive action.

I find that the easiest way for me to start the relief of stress is to take my breathing exercise outside in nature. When I do that I gain clarity on the actions I need to take to move forward.

Wishing you a day filled with less stress and blessings,

LeeZa Donatella

Is it Really Better than Sex?

Is chocolate really better than sex?
"I love chocolate more than sex!"

I hear this comment from a lot from my female readers asking questions about relationships and love.

Sorry girls, although I'm addicted to chocolate, for me, personally, it won't be replacing George Clooney on a cold winter's night anytime soon, but let's leave my "How to have the best orgasmic sex of your life" posting for a future date.

As I was updating one of the steamy parts in the first Beyond the Veil of Illusion series book called The Awakening, I involuntarily reached to my left to grab a bite of chocolate. Why am I doing that,I thought? It sparked me to write this article about that incredibly craved orgasmic-liken confection that has tantalized the tongue and warmed hearts for centuries. Yes, I am still speaking about chocolate.

It's true that we get a warm and comforting feeling when we loose ourselves in chocolate. And sometimes we just have to have it. Why?

There’s a debate on the reasons why we crave that delectable treat but the majority of studies suggest that it has to do with changing blood sugar and hormone levels, like serotonin. Personally the taste as well as the way it feels in my mouth, slowly melting as it coats the back of my throat, providing me with warm memories keeps me coming back for more. It's just an easy portable comfort food.

Health-wise, there IS a reason to do a celebratory dance. One ounce of organic raw cocao has 5 grams of protein, 9 grams of fiber and large percentages of the minerals our body needs to function.  And Organic Raw Cacao is an excellent source of antioxidants.

All chocolate is not created equally. In its raw organic form, chocolate is a great addition to your diet, but all cocaos and chocolate that you buy in your local grocery store are not the same; use a product where the tree is sprayed with pesticides, processed using chemicals or has added artificial sweeteners and the health benefits fly out the window.

Both the Mayans and Aztecs instinctively knew about the importance of cocao.  They fermented the pulp of this tree’s fruit to make a drink that they used in their rituals, ceremonies and celebrations. It wasn’t until it was introduced in the West that this amazing fruit's beans would be ground and sweetened into the many chocolate end products that we enjoy today.

Raw Organic Chocolate
So if you want to gain the benefits of chocolate, then keep this simple rule: The less processed and more cocao present in the chocolate you consume, the better.   Let's look at LeeZa's new 3 Amigos:

  • Organic is Orgasmic for the organs
  • GMO Free is Good for me
  • RAW Rewards my cells

Organic is always better than non-organic, meaning that the product is made/grown without the use of chemicals and pesticides and contains no artificial ingredients.  Let me throw in that it should also be GMO free. US and Canadian Certified Organic products are GMO free. Check your labels. (Thanks to my friend Matt Turner who has educated me on the subject.)  Now if it's also raw, which in the case of chocolate means that the ingredients have not been heated over its temperature threshold  of ~104 degrees, thus retaining all its nutritional value, then you have a three blue ribbon winner.

I don’t normally advertise brands, but I can tell you that I am hooked on LuLu’s Organic Raw Chocolate In my opinion, it’s by far the best raw organic chocolate you can purchase. I’ve found it at whole foods. http://www.luluschocolatelove.com/

There are many raw organic chocolate recipes out there, but I can never make it better than LuLu.

If you have to get you’re a continual chocolate fix, then take a look at my personal version of a better for you organic hot chocolate drink recipe. Snuggling with your blanket on those cold winter days will never be the same.

A Healthier Organic Chocolate Drink (Mayan Style)
  • 2 cups of organic milk or cream (You can substitute almond or unsweetened coconut milk)
  • 3 teaspoons of organic unprocessed cocao
  • 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • A pinch of allspice
  • A pinch of chili
  • A pinch or 3 of ground cayenne
  • Organic coconut sugar or raw honey to taste

Warm about ¼ cup of the milk on the stove. When warm, beat in the cocao until blended. Add the remaining milk and blend with the cocao mixture. Add the vanilla bean, cinnamon stick and sweetener and warm on medium heat for a few minutes. Take it off the stove and stir in the cayenne

Chocolate: We eat it, drink it, put it on our face, cook with it, and bath in it.

What’s not to like?

Wishing you a day filled with a love for chocolate.
Blessings,
LeeZa Donatella

Indica and Sativa – Lessons in Misunderstandings

Called by a plethora of names: marijuana, weed, pot, ganja, herb etc., it’s been exulted as well as criminalized. Why is that I wondered?

Yes, today I want to write about something that until the past couple of years I knew little about, CANNABIS

I know that my friend Lis is laughing out loud thinking of me writing about marijuana, since I am not someone who smokes but Lis, it's true, I am today! I don’t pretend to be more than a light-weight of knowledge until I did research for my first novel, The Awakening and felt it was time that I weighed in with my 2 cents.

Before my research and total emergence in the history, legislation trail and medicinal benefits, I was not a fan of nor did I have an understanding of the herb. Since then, I took it upon myself to find out more about what made having a puff help curb that sick feeling in the stomachs of cancer patients and alleviate pain in others.

Botanical Information and Strains
Marijuana and cannabis both have the same meaning. When we talk about the family and genus information, which is readily available over the Internet, libraries and other sources of botanical literature, we use the term cannabis. In the Genus Cannabis, family Cannanaceae, the are three species:
  • Cannabis sativa
  • Cannabis indica
  • Cannabis ruderalis
Some may argue that Hemp IS the single species, but let's not split hairs for the sake of this article. In today’s medical use market, growers have created different hybrid varietal strains, each with its own particular characteristics to enhance certain medicinal effects. There are more strains then types of ferns, but just to name a few we have: Orange Crush, OG Kush, Grand Daddy Purple, Jack Herer or Trainwreck.

Spiritual and Creative Uses
For centuries, people used cannabis as part of their ceremonies, allowing them to better connect to their divine spirits and deities. Creative types like artists, musicians, writers and philosophers say that it allows them to more openly channel inspiration.

Medical Facts and Benefits:
The main active ingredient in cannabis is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol, or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), impacting the autonomic nervous system expanding the breath and allowing more oxygen into the lungs and cells, when ingested, inhaled and whatever other methods used to administer to the body.
.
From disabledworld.com
“Few herbs offer a wide variety of therapeutic applications like these:
  • Relief of muscle spasms
  • Relief of chronic pain
  • Reduction in interlobular pressure inside the eye
  • Suppression of nausea
Other Uses:
  • AIDS - Marijuana can reduce the nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting from the condition itself and the medications as well.
  • Glaucoma - Marijuana relieves the internal eye pressure of glaucoma, and therefore relieving the pain and slowing or even stopping the condition.
  • Cancer- Many side effects of the medication to stop cancer can be relieve with Marijuana, some studies suggest that Marijuana tends to slow down the progress of some types of cancer.
  • Multiple Sclerosis - Muscle pain, spasticity, tremors and unsteadiness are some of the effects caused by the disease that can be relieved by Marijuana.
  • Epilepsy - in some patients, epileptic seizures can be prevented with Marijuana use.
  • Chronic pain - Marijuana helps to alleviate the pain caused from many types of injuries and disorders.
  • Anxiety, Depression or Obsession - Even though mild anxiety is a common side effect in some users, cannabis can elevate your mood and expand the mind”
There are even rumors floating around about super concentrates of cannabis oil applied topically curing different types of melanoma's.

Historical Facts
Let me give you some background on the initial documented historical data on cannabis

From Infoplease.com
“Marijuana has been used as an agent for achieving euphoria since ancient times; it was described in a Chinese medical compendium traditionally considered to date from 2737 B.C. It also has a long history of use as a medicinal herb. Its use spread from China to India and then to N Africa and reached Europe at least as early as A.D. 500……”

“Marijuana was listed in the United States Pharmacopeia from 1850 until 1942 and was prescribed for various conditions including labor pains, nausea, and rheumatism.……”

The DEA museum site also confirms it as a source of use dating back to 2700’s BC.

Legislation
The Controlled Substances Act of 1970 classified marijuana along with heroin and LSD as a Schedule I drug.

I have not even touched the use of hemp as a fiber that would save our forests and keep the world oxygen rich.

What I question is why did the government decide that it was bad for us after all its historical use and benefit? This is the question that I have had trouble wrapping my brain around.
And, although the legislation in the US is becoming more “intelligent” and loosening the reins a little on this subject of cannabis, we still have a long way to go.

Most women would be ecstatic losing 3-5 pounds a week, but trust me, when you are starving and continually nauseous and nothing helps, it really is something you would not wish on anyone.  I believe so strongly in medical marijuana after seeing the results when I needed to use it that I incorporated it into the story line in THE AWAKENING, the first in the Beyond the Veil of Illusion Series. The chapter is aptly called Indica and Sativa.

So, for the folks that did not have this information before, yes, cannabis has been around longer than Christ and has multi-benefits. I think that any substance taken in moderation like coffee, chocolate, bacon, alcohol, and cannabis is not EVIL or the Anti-Christ.  It’s when we obsess over them and abuse them…. that is where the problem begins.

Of course if you smoke too much marijuana then get the munchies, you might eat that entire box of chocolates, and well....that would be two obsessions/abuses at the same time.

Like with everything, use your head and act responsibly.

Wishing you a day with LOVE and a spiritual presence,

For the Love of Bacon

Okay, so I’ll admit that there is something to the saying that you are what you eat. And if that's the case, then I am definitely a big hunk of Bacon. Now that’s not saying that it's the only thing that I eat. As a spiritualist I have to keep my consciousness high as I work on my creative projects and counteract all that pork goodness with higher vibrational foods, like juices and smoothies made from organic fruits and vegetables.

The good thing about visiting San Jose del Cabo is that they get it. There are local owned juice stores everywhere and a 32 ounce blended drink consisting of spinach, cucumber, pineapple, banana and papaya with a dash of honey will run you about 3 bucks. Nutrition on a budget! It’s no wonder that there’s a line out the door.  And these high PH balancing foods increase your vibration and connection to that wonderful energy force I call the divine.  So, let me talk about what a healthy body really needs, then I’ll talk more about BACON.

Experts say that in order for our body to remain healthy, it should maintain a vibration of somewhere between 62 to 72 hertz. Now I'm sure that some gadget maker like Ronco will come out with a way for us to buy an appliance that measures our body’s vibration so we can put it next to the Showtime Standard Rotisserie that aunt Sally bought us last Christmas, but for right now you have to believe the science until a reasonably priced meter is available.

Some of us believe that by raising the vibration of your body can put what I call ‘dis-eases” at bay. Our everyday instigators of ‘dis-ease’ like stress and emotional volatility, environmental factors, and the host of ‘bad’ stuff we consume including genetically modified, processed, artificial and canned foods, liquor, anything we eat with additives and most meats have less of an effect on our bodies when we balance them with high vibrational foods at a 70/30 split. Sorry, but the 70% is on the good for us side of the scale.

So eating high vibrational foods not only increases our consciousness, our connection to the Mack Daddy energy force that helps us with all our divinely inspired creative endeavors, it also makes us feel better. Who knows, it might also get rid of that nasty wrinkle I keep seeing in my morning mirror!

I still love that that perfectly fried pork sensation, and of course there is a least one mention of this delicacy in my book, THE AWAKENING, as it is forever embedded in my mind infiltrating my nostrils as it invades my dreams, dancing on my plate or propped up in the perfect martini.  I just don't eat it every single day anymore. I reserve that orgasmic experience to once or twice a week, savoring every bite.

Food for thought.
Update June 2014: Who would have ever thought that I would be providing you an update like this. I have moved away from meat. Me the person who could eat bacon 7 days a week, but it's true. It all happened after my last visit to John of God in Brazil and my increase in vibration. Now I will never tell you not to eat bacon. For Pete's sake I used to dream about that crispy salty pork delacy. Yet for right now, at least it is out of my diet. Go figure. You on the other hand, can crunch one for me. Okay?

Questions asked and answers:
I have no juice store near me to make these drinks. What would you suggest?
Answer:
I do not advertise products on my blog, but can tell you that back home in Sedona I use Ninja Ultima 810 1500 watt. Blending it myself saves me cash. Unfortunately it doesn't fit in my backpack.

Would you mind listing what foods exactly are “high vibrational” foods? I am assuming fresh green veggies, fruits and nuts, but anything else?
Answer:
High vibrational foods are mostly those “in the raw” and organic (without pesticides). Ultimately they should be newly picked, if possible. All fruits, veggie and nuts are not created equal vibrationally versus PH, if you want to take both into account. For example, almonds, flax. chia, sesame, squash, sunflower and pumpkin seeds are better for your PH (alkaline) and vibration than other nuts. Greens high in vibration include, kale, cucumber, spinach and parsley which are excellent for you body having higher vibrations than others and good PH as well.  I have so much information, I guess it will become it's own post within the next week and I will come back and provide a link to it from this posting.

What about Chocolate for Vibration?
Answer:
The ancient Mayans were not wrong when drinking chocolate before or during their spiritual ceremonies. But they didn't sweeten it, they added chiles to it, another high vibrational and good PH (alkaline) food. Most sugars and artificial sweeteners added to it are the problem. Cocoa that is not dutch processed and sweetened with raw honey or pure coconut sugar is better for satisfying your chocolate craving. You can make your own organic chocolate or buy it in a specialty store.  Again, another blog posting int he making.

Like with everything, you do not have to give it all up, but use your head and moderation.

Wishing you a day filled with Love and Bacon,
LeeZa Donatella

Walking the Walk

Okay, so I do not admit to being perfect. I'm still a work in progress as I open my heart, home and resources to others. Up to this point I have rarely charged or accepted money for my services, but just wanted to help my fellow man.  Yes, you can buy my book(s), or attend a lecture, but I believe that giving back is essential to following a path to enlightenment. And I try and practice what I preach and make time to serve others wherever I find myself.

Whether it's sharing the little tool skill set that I have to create a blog on blogger or use a website tool,’ write a resume, smudge someone, perform crisis counceling, make packages for soldiers, or volunteering for a habitat project or at local charity event, church or healing center kitchen, I feel it's important not to lose that connection to community.

I can say though, that one thing that I have to work on is my less than loving reactions when I see an injustice, but I'm getting better.  I think it’s sad that this world has hypocrites who preach about loving and helping their fellow man, then do nothing to help anyone and go out of their way to harm to people.

I received an email from Mariam about her experience and opinion about people who talk the talk, but do not walk the walk. In speaking about the spiritual modalities as she looked for guidance, she wrote:

“… and I spent untold amounts of money and discovered they are all fakes. I was the fool though; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Mariam, thank you for the kind words about the blog and I’m sorry that you had a bad experience.

Wherever there is light, comes darkness. Wherever there is searching for truth, come lies.  Those of us who are here to help also get bamboozled at times by predators cloaked in convincing packages. Listen to your heart and let it guide you to the people that are only for your highest good and spiritual growth. But don’t beat yourself up if you momentarily stumble. Life experiences happen for a reason and you should view them as opportunities for positive spiritual growth.

The path to true enlightenment is filled with unconditional love and compassion. Although I am still confused by it, I try my best to understand the misery of the mind that these people live in to be that example of duality, and have only compassion for them. I am not saying it is easy, but if we truly want to move forward spirituality we have to try.

It may not do any good, but let me say this to whomever is reading this who preaches love and peace and rips people off. Walk the Walk, baby!

I hope that this helps you heal and resolve this matter in your heart.

Discover Patience When Trying Something New

I don’t know about most of you, but I always love to try new things.

I am in the process of performing some ‘light’ editing of my own website and blog. I have had to change html code. This is new for me and as with all new things, uncomfortable. I may seem more technical than the average person, because I understand technology well enough to navigate a 'dumb user' tool or wizard. But I'm not really technical, despite an old job title of Tech VP. where it was not necessary for management to write or understand code. Their expertise lies in managing technical staff and projects and are the whipping boys and girls if the project does not make budget, milestone dates or if the code is broken in production.

In the past, I have always handed a 'spec' to one of those wonderful Technical Gods, as I call them, and like magic, the code was written, inserted and tested. They spoke to in basic terms, knowing that all I have is a high-level understanding of technical concepts as well as the names of the upstream and downstream systems the application they work on interacts with.

Long gone are the days when I could pick up the phone and ask those Gods for help, so I find myself searching through technical forums for answers to my basic questions. It has caused me several opportunities.

It was such an interesting reaction that it made me sit back and take notice, analyzing the parts of me that still need work.  I was uncomfortable and frustrated and that manifested into a whopper of a headache.

‘Ah,’ I thought, ‘is there some learning lesson here?’

The lesson was pretty straightforward:
Cut yourself some slack and show yourself some patience. Stop beating yourself up because you do not know everything. As in all things in life, it takes time. Rome was not built in a day!

Food for thought the next time you try something new and realize that you are not immediately the next Michael Jordan.

A day filled with LOVE,

You ARE What You Think

Someone shared a graphic that said “Talk more about your blessings than your problems." These are good words to live by, but let me go a bit further.

We ARE what we allow to penetrate and consume our minds. Before any words come out of that place where we also inject that savory sensation, bacon, first we have to think them.

Focusing on negativity, whether it be a past unpleasant situation or a less than bright future shows in everything we do, including our conversations with others. But don't get a chain and whip yourself, my dears, because it happens to all of us at times.

We are one big mass of vibrations: waves and frequencies and our being gets its queue on what to vibrate from what our mind is focused on.

What you think also has an effect on your physical body and your spirit. If you're focusing on potential failure, or the guy who cut you off on the road the other day or the EX who did you wrong and won't leave you alone, then it invades your day, plagues your mind and becomes your reality. Don’t dwell on unpleasant situations. You're just giving them more power as you become what you think and continue to be a master of making a mountain from a small pile of manure. Look at it this way. In the approximate 2,428,272,000 seconds that you're on this planet, it's just a spec of dust, so don't be a 'negative Nancy.'

Remember that you ARE what you think. SO think about SUCCESS, warm fuzzy slippers, and that delicious kiss that lasted over an hour as you gazed into the eyes of that god or goddess. Or you could, like me, think about BACON and smile wide.  Or focus on that incredible sunset and the appreciation of the intoxicating fragrance of that flower. If you do then you will most likely vibrate LOVE and it will show in the glow of your face as well as in your heart..

Notice those moments when you're focused on other than LOVE and take time to focus on something not mind related, like the feeling of your breath as it touches the inside of your nostrils. By doing so you’ll gain a sense of peace and LOVE will come. And with love in your heart comes wondrous things and new adventures.

Gee, isn't that delicious!

Wishing you Love this day and always,
LeeZa Donatella

Keep your Holiday's Sacred

I love that the “Brits” call a vacation, a holiday. So often when people go ‘on holiday,’ at least the ones I have spent time with from the US, they rush around filling their days with this and that activity to fill in the time between daylight and dust, then pop in the shower get dressed and are off to yet another place for the evening.  They return back home needed a holiday from their holiday. Interesting, right?

A holiday is a day without work and is supposed to be a day of rest. I believe a ‘Holi-day,’ is a sacred time to recharge your battery, find your inner peace and appreciate this wondrous life that we are so blessed with. It's been called your connection with the Christ consciousness;  I don't judge what anyone calls it, but know it as the divine pure love that dwells within you when you open your heart.

Now, I'm not against spending time in a new place exploring the culture, the architecture, nature, music, etc., but I know when I am connected to that pure love, I'm in a state of total bliss, what some would call grace. In that space is only peace, unconditional love, joy and compassion.

So, for the love of all that is good for you, keep YOUR wholeness or holiness in your holiday. Stop rushing around and continuing the distraction. If you cannot take a vacation, make an hour a day, your vacation, your Holi-day and take this precious time to relax, de-stress and be at peace and allow unconditional love to flow into your heart. Allow your mind to become calm and serene and focus on the present. Allow your heartbeat to slow so blood can drench and rejuvenate your cells and balance your hormones. Your body, mind and soul will be delighted by the change.

Wishing you Love this day and always,
LeeZa Donatella

Meditation, the Art of Being Present

If I had a nickel for every type of meditation technique out there then I could be rich. So, who’s technique is better that another?

Answer: They all have their merits, so if you have found one that resonates with you, then I am truly pleased for you/ Keep it up! It's when we quiet the mind that we hear the guidance. Where the guidance comes from, well I think I’ll leave that for another posting. Now back to meditation……..

Having spent time in the technology arena balancing high dollar projects, I can tell you that this 'Type A' desperately needed an outlet, a way to be calm. When I found meditation, I also found sleep, patience, peace and more creativity then I knew what to do with. It actually made my then corporate job easier to manage.

I believe that meditation takes many forms. Yes, it’s sitting still in a lotus position as we quiet the mind, but it’s also sitting in the park appreciating the ambrosiac sound of the songbird; it’s the long sigh as you stand there watching the sun fade from view; it’s losing yourself in a moment so delicious words do not do it justice, for they are all opportunities to become quiet and focusing on the present.

Find time, even if it's 5 minutes a day to lose yourself, be still, appreciate and be present.
Your mind, body and everyone around you will thank you for it!

DARE TO DREAM

Dare to dream and never give up on your dream or yourself.

Did you hear me?  No, I am not yelling at you, but just want it to sink in.  NEVER give up!

Hey, I walked away from a corporate job to follow my dream, writing this blog about love and consciousness for my readers.I have always believed that there is a higher power guiding me on my journey as I opened my heart, home and have given my time and resources to others. I have received many emails since I started about 2 years ago,  telling me that what I have written is exactly what they needed to hear that day. I do it from the heart and with love as part of my contribution to mankind.

I am also close to introducing readers to a new genre, called ‘spiritual romance.’

Yes, for those of you didn't know, I was divinely inspired to write a series called Beyond the Veil of Illusion. The first book in that trilogy, called THE AWAKENING.

It’s a quirky, funny spiritual adventure and my way to shake up the vibration of those who read it, allowing them to experience the combined physical and spiritual connection of a man and woman through tantric and higher-self connections. Let’s call it the complete LOVE vibration. I believe that it’s where we need to get to in relationships if they are ever to be successful.

It's my dream to share these and other spiritual concepts and modalities with the world. Yes and it includes hippies, socialites, psychics, meditation, marijuana and some out of this world twists and turns.

Wishing you blessings and success with YOUR dreams and a day filled with LOVE,

The Fading of Ego

I just received a current revision of THE AWAKENING   (edition2) back from my editor.

I never realized how much of an opportunity for positive growth it can be to have someone reading your heart and telling you the small pieces of it that have to change. There's a lot of back and forth during an editing process.

I liken it to a marriage: a lot of give and take. And I am paying her to do this to me. I guess it's like anything in life when you want to grow. And don't beat yourself up about it. Appreciate the small triumphs along the way, as I let go of ego and see the bigger picture. And I do see my ego fading a little more each round.  I just keep listening to Be Love, the funny background vocals I recorded for a new video I shot and smile.

So, the next time your boss or co-worker, or significant, other, friend, etc. provides you with constructive criticism, before you get your panties all scrunched up there kiddos, take a moment and breathe. If the message is sent with love, then take it, analyze it and do something positive with it. And if you do get butt hurt, take a moment and think why that is? Is it because you still have some work to do, keeping your ego in check?

Sound advice from a woman who had  a large ego, perhaps bigger than a mansion. Just food for thought.

Blessings to you and wishing you a day filled with LOVE,

Never be Embarrassed to Express Your Joy

Today I want to talk a little about expressing your joy in a creative way, no matter what way that is. You do not have to be a Diva or Michael Angelo to express what is in your heart. It's all about the love that emanates from within that matters. I recently had the opportunity to do some background vocals for a video I am creating. I found a sweet piece of background music, but it was missing my personal touch. I am not a professional singer, but I decided to use that cheap headset with mic that I purchased at the local office supply store and freeware audio download to share my heart.

No matter what the medium, you too can share your love through your creativity.
And if you have a song in your heart, sing loud and proud.

Never be embarrassed to sing your joy, The angels are listening and smiling... even if your voice sucks!

Blessings and Love to you this day and always,

Stay the Course

Today's post is about staying the course and the little triumphs along the way.  I received a notification that Spiritual Spew was selected as a winner in a recent blogging contest by BlogUpp.  I did not even enter, but apparently, BlogUpp who has tons and tons of blogs that use their service scanned the ones that had something nice to say about Valentine's day and love. Blogupp Contest Winners

I have to admit that I was unaware that this was going on as I wrote my usual words about Love and Consciousness.  When they contacted me and told me that I was one of their winners, a small tear came to my eye. When I looked at their site and saw Spiritual Spew listed as numero uno, I smiled, knowing that my words of love and encouragement have been noticed.

I write this blog because of love and service. If my readers can relate their situations to my experiences and thoughts as I laugh at myself and reveal my mistakes and challenges and it helps 1 person out of a 1000 then it's worth it. We are all here to help each other and this is part of my contribution.

So my message to you today is this. If your message is peace and love and service, or you have a dream or idea that serves others in some way, then keep at it. You WILL see small rewards along your path.

Blessings and Love to you this day and always,

Monday

Face Conflicts Head on with Love

There was something in me that has always tried to placate and please everyone. I just couldn’t understand why everyone did not just love me; what’s not to love, I am funny, modest (lol), loving, fun, honest and generous.  And as far as conflict, well…. generally, in my personal life, I have been a conflict avoider, retreating when faced with confrontation. I am a lover, not a fighter after all.  I really don’t know where I got that trait from, because it certainly didn’t come from either my mom or dad.

I had recently received some information regarding an upcoming event where I could be facing something uncomfortable and perhaps even down right unpleasant. I had to stop and think about my initial reaction to this information, which was reconsidering going to the event. Well there, I thought, are you a woman or a mouse for goodness sake?

So it begs the question: when do you run and when do you stand, when do you hide, and when do you turn back around?

Answer: Never turn your back on an opportunity to grow. Face them with happiness, courage, fortitude and anticipation. Hey sweeties, not everyone in this world thinks that you are the next best thing since the invention of sliced bread and if you actually are and they can’t see that, well then they are the ones who are blind. Everyone does not have to love you, and actually some may hate you, not because you have done something to them that is worthy of the animosity that they display toward you, but because they still live in the misery of their own mind. Instead of allowing them to give you that present of seething hatred that they have for themselves, show them only love and compassion.

So the message today is this: Never run, always stand, never hide, turn and face the world with your head held high. Just do it with LOVE and it will all work out for the best!

Wishing you a day filled with Love,
